Correct Usage Steps of Humidity Control Packs
1. Remove outer film, but NEVER open the brown packet
If your 2-way humidity control pack has a clear plastic outer film/cellophane wrapper, remove it before use.
Absolutely DO NOT tear or cut open the brown inner packet—the contents are a salt gel. The packet itself is a leak-proof semi-permeable membrane; keep it intact.
2. Place directly into the container
The two-way humidity packs can be in direct contact with cigars/herbs—Huawin's humidity pack ingredients (purified water + food-grade natural salts) are food-safe and meet FDA standards.
However, for herb/flower storage, some prefer placing it on the side or top, not directly underneath soft material, to avoid localized dampness.
For instrument cases, Our advice is to first place it inside the included Fabric Holder to prevent salt solution from contacting the instrument finish if punctured.
3. Seal tightly, minimize opening
After placing, seal the container well. The 2 way humidity pack starts working automatically; no activation needed.
Minimize frequent opening/closing, as each opening causes humidity fluctuations and accelerates pack depletion.
